Born, raised and residing in Stellenbosch, I’ve always been surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery, abundant art galleries, a boundary-pushing entrepreneurial spirit and a respectful dose of academia. From early on I had a natural affinity for language, mathematics and communication. After high school, I completed my Bachelors Degree in Consumer Science (S.U.). Gaining extensive experience in corporate sales, event/festival/artist management and public relations, I was able to mould my unique skill set into my current dream food media career (since 2011). I’ve carved out everything I know of the digital food world by spending countless hours on my laptop, in my kitchen and on shoot locations. With a growing public profile, I am an advocate of the flexible spirit of creative niche entrepreneurs. It is only with passion and dedication that one can achieve anything and I certainly have a bounty of both.
People have always commented on my height. I am 1,90 m tall – a striking trait that isn’t the norm anywhere in the world, but one that I’ve grown tremendously fond of. Today I stand tall in my uniqueness and I celebrate my niche skills.
My husband, daughter and I live on a working berry & wine farm and our surroundings never cease to inspire us. I am an award-winning blogger, SAFTA nominated content producer/tv presenter and international award winning cookbook author. May this journey only become more colourful.
